CANADA - VANCOUVER ISLAND

GRIZZLY BEARS OF SMITH INLET
SMITH INLET, VANCOUVER ISLAND
2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 nights
Departures from May to October
Sow and cubsSmith Inlet attracts a significant number of grizzly bears.  During the late summer and early autumn they are drawn to the many salmon-spawning streams that flow into the lower Seymour River and there are usually over thirty bears in the vicinity.  As they feed on the plentiful sedges and grasses as well as the high protein barnacles and crabs, these coastal grizzlies are larger than most inland bears.
