Location: Grasmere Lodge is on State Highway 73, 120 km (90 minutes) west of Christchurch by car, en route to the West Coast glaciers. By prior arrangement, the TranzAlpine Express train will stop at Cass for Grasmere guests. 
Accommodation: Six lake view deluxe rooms, four mountain view junior suites, 2 river view cottage suites and the Grasmere suite, all king or twin beds. Local Attractions/Activities: Trout fishing in 8 nearby lakes and rivers; kayaking on Lake Grasmere; serious tramping or leisurely walks in the native beech forests of the nearby 100,000 ha Arthur’s Pass National Park; skiing on a choice of 5 nearby skifields and horseback riding. |
