Historic English country idyll
Longwood Lodge, Wairarapa
Peace, privacy and a pervading sense of history epitomise this grand and gracious country house.

Longwood, in the heart of a premier wine-growing region, is reputedly New Zealand’s largest private home.  Historic and grand, it is nevertheless warm and welcoming in the best English country house style.  Magnificent rooms, wonderful atmosphere and the gracious hospitality of the owners, make Longwood a very special experience.

Wander the park-like grounds, with vast lawns and venerable English trees, retire to the Sunken Garden with a book, or play tennis, boules or croquet.  At night savour the delicious eclectic meals served in the glorious dining room, or if you prefer, in the library, garden, or loggia.  Sip world class Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.
