KAITUNA RIVER
Short but exhilarating rafting trips are the specialty of the Kaituna River, where you plunge over the 7m Okere Falls – the longest commercially rafted drop in the world!  It’s near Rotorua in the North Island.

SHOTOVER RIVER
The Shotover and Kawarau rivers near Queenstown are famous for adventure activities such as jet boating and whitewater rafting.  Tackle grade III to V+ rapids through the formidable Shotover Canyon.
ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK
If you want tranquil ocean kayaking between a string of gorgeous coastal bays, this is the place.  Highly organized kayaking companies make is a breeze to organize trips here.
MILFORD AND DOUBTFUL SOUNDS
Kayakers can leave behind cruise boats and explore these famous Fiorland waterways at their own pace.  Steep-sided Milford Sound, dominated by the dramatic Mitre Peak, is all the more breathtaking from a tiny kayak.  Expect to see dolphins and seals in both fiords.
MALBOROUGH SOUNDS
There’s no better way to experience the space and tranquility to these sounds than from a kayak, and you can combine kayaking with tramping on various tracks such as the Queen Charlotte Organize trips in Picton or Havenlock.
OKARITO LAGOON
The peaceful coastal lagoon at Ikarito on the West Coast of the South Island is hidden gem for kayakers.  The Lagoon and its delta are rich in birdlife fringed by native forest.

There is time to explore some wineries on both of our itineraries but if you would like to spend more time discovering New Zealand wines, we can arrange this for you.
