WONDERS OF ATACAMA
The Atacama Desert is an essential addition to your holiday to Chile.  You can add a three night itinerary from Santiago and travel to this amazing desert in the north of Chile.   The Atacama Desert is a feast for the eyes; pink flamingos visit the vast salt lakes and flats where the volcanic activity comes to the surface in spectacular geysers, steam vents and hot springs.  This driest desert in the world is also rich in archaeological remains with evidence of pre-Hispanic cultures dating back over 10,000 years.

The Explora in San Pedro de Atacama offers packages of 3, 4 and 7 nights, perfectly tailored to introduce you to the natural beauty and native culture of the region.  Located in the Atacama Desert between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountains, in the Ayllu de Larache, in the Oasis of San Pedro de Atacama, the world renown Explora has built a very special resort.  The building itself reflects the mood of the magic area of the world's driest desert.  Dedicated to the concept of exploration the hotel is none the less not short on amenities.  More than just a luxury hotel it is a good way to experience this uniquely beautiful and desolate spot in the world.  There is a wide selection of tours included in the price from challenging hikes to horse riding on breathtakingly scenic trails or relaxing tours.
