| Day 1 |
Fly UK to San Jose.
On arrival in San José you will be met at the airport and transferred to the Jade y
Oro Hotel for two nights including breakfast.

Jade y Oro is a charming small hotel in San Jose hotel originally built as a private
residence. The hotel offers breakfast (included in the room rate) on a small
terrace. The rooms have private baths, hot water, and fans. |
| Day 2 |
Today you will visit the Aerial Tram which was built in the middle of a
virgin rainforest reserve only 1 hour’s drive from San José. The tram takes
visitors on a 90 minute guided ride over the canopy of a rainforest. The tour also
includes a guided walk through the forest trails and a brief lecture on the forest and
the project. Lunch is included. |
| Day 3 |
Early in the morning, you will be taken through the mountains and
rainforests of the Braulio Carrillo National Park until you reach the village of Matina
on the Caribbean lowlands. Once there, you will board the boat and continue along
the canals that run parallel to the Caribbean Coast. Tortuguero National Park will be
your final destination. During the afternoon you will visit the Turtle Museum and
the picturesque Tortuguero village.
Overnight at Pachira Lodge.

Pachira Lodge is located in Tortuguero with lovely views over
the canals. There are comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, ceiling fans, bar
and restaurant. Entrance fee to the Tortuguero National Park is not included. |

| Day 4 |
After breakfast, guided hike to Tortuguero Hill, where you will enjoy
magnificent views of the nearby canals and the rainforest. In the afternoon you will
depart on a guided tour by boat to a series of small secondary canals, which are ideal
to spot the wildlife of the area.

| Day 5 |
After breakfast, you will return by boat to Matina, from where you will
be transferred to the Arenal Volcano area in the northern lowlands (4 hours
drive). Two nights at the Arenal Paraiso Hotel.

Arenal Paraíso is three hours from San José where nature combines the peace of the
tropical rain forest and the majesty of one of the most active volcanoes in the country.
Rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, fans, cable TV, and terrace facing the
volcano. Restaurant, swimming pool, jacuzzi, laundry, trails, lovely gardens and canopy
tour. |
| Day 6 |
Free morning for optional
activities. In the afternoon, our local guide will meet you for a tour to the Arenal
Volcano National Park, where you will observe the impact of recent volcanic eruptions in
the vegetation and pasturelands on the skirts of the volcano. The Arenal, which has been
in constant activity for more than 30 years, is definitively the main attraction in this
area. After visiting the volcano, you will have a chance to take a relaxing dip at
Tabacón Hot Springs. |
| Day 7 |
After breakfast, there will be a four hour drive to Tamarindo Beach, a
superb swimming beach on the North-Pacific coast. You will spend three nights at
the Jardín del Eden.

El Jardín del Eden is a small, enchanting, discrete luxury hotel on Tamarindo
Beach, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Located on a small hill, 120 metres - 3 minutes
walk - from the beach, it has a magnificent view of Tamarindo Bay.
The hotel consists of five villas with 18 rooms and two apartments. All rooms have
air conditioning, ceiling fans, private bathrooms, mini-bar, telephone, safety box,
radio clock, hair dryer, cable color TV and balcony or terrace with ocean view.
The apartments also have fully equipped kitchens. |
Days 8
and 9 |
At leisure at Tamarindo Beach with plenty of time for optional activities
such as fishing, diving, horseback riding, hiking or just relaxing on the beach. |
| Day 10 |
You will set off for Monteverde, which means Green Mountain, nestled high
in Tilarán mountain range. You will arrive around noon and stay at the Hotel
Fonda Vela for two nights.

The hotel is in a beautiful location in the Monteverde mountains. The facilities
offer different type of rooms including suites, junior suites, and standard rooms,
restaurant, bar, TV room, private trails, horseback riding, and laundry. |
| Day 11 |
There are a number of walking trails that vary in length and degree of
difficult but we recommend that you take the Sky Walk – a series of suspension bridges
that cross the canopy of the jungle. The more adventurous can take the original
Canopy Tour and swing from tree to tree in a harness. Horseback riding, a canopy
tour and a tour to the butterfly garden can also be arranged. |
| Day 12 |
Morning at leisure before travelling to San Jose for your final night at
the Hotel Jade y Oro. |
| Day 13 |
Morning free before transferring to the international airport for your
flight to the UK. |
| Day 14 |
Arrive UK. |
