Canada - Newfoundland

Newfoundland is one of the great undiscovered areas of Canada, which offers stunning scenery and wildlife viewing.  Each year as the giant icebergs drift down the Newfoundland coast, thousands of great whales migrate north to the shores of Newfoundland for the summer feeding season.  Peter Beamish and his guides have the equipment, knowledge and skills to offer small parties of guests the opportunity of observing and getting to understand these whales at close range (often as close as 3 feet).  During your daily expeditions you will often encounter dolphins, porpoises and a variety of sea birds along this dramatic coastline.  Full length approved life safety suits are provided to keep guests warm and safe.
Whale
The rugged coastline and national parks are home to puffins, storm petrels, kittiwakes, murres and whales. There are unrivalled opportunities for outdoor activities and sightseeing, such as at Gros Morne National Park, as well as discovering the many historical sights and culture of the region. If you just wish to relax and let the wildlife come to you, stay at a lighthouse keeper’s cottage in Northern Newfoundland and view whales, dolphins and sea birds as they pass by.
