| Follow reindeer herdsmen, experience their everyday life in the Sapmi Wilderness and learn
how they and their ancestors have survived in the tundra for thousands of years. For
your last night, you will stay in the incredible Icehotel that is sculpted each year from
30,000 tons of ice and snow. It provides 50 rooms and suites and features the Absolut
Ice Bar, an art gallery and a chapel. |

| Itinerary |
| Day 1 |
Fly from UK via Stockholm to Kiruna in Swedish Lapland and stay overnight
at the Hotel Vinterpalatset. |
| Day 2 |
Today you will meet your bilingual Sami Guide and be transferred to
Jukkasjarvi for lunch at an old homestead. After an introduction to the tour and
snowmobile instruction, you will head for the tundra. A Sami dinner cooked over an
open fire will be followed by a steaming hot sauna. The night is spent at the
Soppero camp in a Goahti – a tepee made of turf – and you will experience how the
reindeer herdsmen used to live. |
| Day 3 |
After breakfast you can try your hand at lassoing reindeer and have a
challenging opportunity to drive a reindeer sled. In the afternoon you will travel
by snowmobile through forests and up to the mountain of Civru to appreciate the
spectacular scenery. Arrive back in Jukkasjarvi in the late afternoon for an
invigorating sauna, followed by a delicious Lapland dinner. The night is spent in
the unique Icehotel. Sleep on a bed of ice and snow covered in reindeer pelts,
snugly in your thermal sleeping bag. |
| Day 4 |
You will be awakened in the morning with a hot fruit drink, followed by a
sauna and a buffet breakfast. Your Sami Guide will then take you on a tour of the
village with its 17th Century timber church and old dwellings, after which you will be
transferred to Kiruna for your flights to Stockholm and UK. |
