This unique tour offers the opportunity to see both black bears and polar bears in their natural habitats. Riding Mountain National Park is a great location for wildlife-viewing. Unwind at a lakeside, Cape Cod home complete with Canadian furnishings and an indoor fireplace. Enjoy scrumptious home-cooked meals and beautiful scenery. Fly north to view the iconic polar bears of Churchill.

Holiday idea
| Day 1 | Arrive in Winnipeg and transfer to your central hotel for a one night stay. Explore the Forks "meeting place", the award-winning Manitoba Museum or the dynamic Exchange District. |
| Day 2 | Enjoy free time to explore the city this morning. Around noon, you will be picked up at your hotel for the scenic three-hour drive to Riding Mountain National Park. Meet your experienced naturalist guide, Dr. Jim Irwin, and check in at Riding Mountain Guest Ranch. Enjoy a welcome dinner prior to your evening bear-watching tour. (Breakfast and dinner included). |
| Day 3/4 | Embark on daily, fully-commentated wildlife-viewing safaris and nature walks. You will have an excellent chance of seeing the secretive forest-creatures close-up from the comfort of a special viewing blind. The black bears of Riding Mountain are renowned for their many colour phases - keep an eye out for blonde, taupe, cinnamon, red or chocolate bears. You may even spot a mother bear with cubs! The park is home to a bison herd as well as moose, elk, deer, coyotes, timber wolves, and Bald eagles. Mid-day periods are free to use the recreational facilities at the ranch, such as hiking trails, canoes, kayaks, hot tub and horseshoe pits. Time permitting, transfers to the charming town of Wasagaming will be provided. Visit beautiful Clear Lake and wander through the unique shops. (All meals included). |
| Day 5 | Depart Riding Mountain early this morning. You will be dropped off at the Winnipeg airport with time for lunch and the opportunity to meet your Tour Manager. Board your Calm Air flight to Churchill mid-afternoon. Welcome to the north! Upon arrival you will be met by your Naturalist Guide and transferred to your accommodation. A Welcome Dinner and orientation session have been arranged, hosted by your guide. (Breakfast and Dinner are included). |
| Day 6 | The Kingdom of the Ice Bears! Each fall, these extraordinary animals prowl along the coast of the Hudson Bay, anxiously waiting for the sea ice to form. Onboard the giant Tundra Buggy, you will have the unique opportunity to view the magnificent polar bears in their natural environment. We will return to your hotel at dusk, in time for you to experience the local cuisine at one of the town's many restaurants. (Breakfast and lunch included). |

Day 7 |
Discover Churchill's colourful history on today's Cultural and Historical tour of the town and surrounding area. Visit local places of interest such as scenic Cape Merry, the Port of Churchill and the renowned Polar Bear Compound. This afternoon provides free time to visit the Eskimo Museum and the Parks Canada Display. An optional helicopter trip or authentic dog-sled excursion can also be arranged. Keep an eye on the sky tonight - you may be lucky enough to see the spectacular Northern Lights. (Breakfast included). |
| Day 8 | Enjoy a second full day on the tundra observing the Great White Bear throughout the protected Wildlife Management Area. You may also spot Arctic Hare, cross fox, snowy owl and ptarmigan. Following a Farewell Dinner, your guide will accompany you to the airport for your return flight to Winnipeg. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation for a restful sleep. (All meals included). |
| Day 9 | Your tour concludes following breakfast and check out this morning. Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast included). |
