Hearst Lodge Ultimate Outdoor Experience

3 nights

Hugging cliff tops above the world’s highest tides, the Fundy Trail winds its way along 16 kilometres of the coastal wilderness area. This stretch of coast is the breeding habitat for Right Whales and is one of the best places in the world for viewing marine wildlife. This pristine wilderness setting and challenging terrain offers a variety of nature based activities. Spend three nights in rustic comfort at the Hearst Lodge, where you can enjoy guided activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking and horse riding followed by homestyle meals and evening presentations on subject ranging from astrology to geology, to the culture and heritage of the area.

Recommended stays

Hearst Lodge

The Hearst Lodge, with four bedrooms plus two adjacent cabins, was built as a fishing lodge on a dramatic site above salmon spawning pools on the Big Salmon River by newspaper magnate J. Randolph Hearst. Enjoy 'dream' meals that fuel your hikes, refresh yourself with a swim in a salmon pool and enjoy a fireside chat with your hosts.
