Spanish River 4-Day River Canoe Trip
Ontario's Spanish River is an ideal family river adventure with gentle rapids and home to the world's largest red and white pine wilderness forest. Start your trip with a train to the river via the "Budd Car"! Learn the basics and experience the thrill of white-water canoeing with a certified instructor and enjoy serene flat water stretches as you paddle along the stunning Spanish River and spenc three peaceful nights at riverside campsites. This gentle section of the river is an excellent introduction to white water canoeing and is recommended for any level of canoeist.

| Day 1 | Overnight in Sudbury Fairfield Inn & Suites (not included) |
| Day 2 | Rendezvous with your guide and take the famous “budd car” to the Spanish River ‘put in”. The “budd car” is part of the great transcontinental railway from 1870. This unique passenger rail service runs on CP Railways mainline between Sudbury and White River, providing remote access for cabins, small communities and remote canoeing and fishing opportunities in many lakes and rivers including the Spanish River. After being dropped off, paddle down the Spanish to a nice campsite on Tenth Lake and relax. Swim and refresh paddle strokes. Dinner cooked over the fire. |
| Day 3&4 | Breakfast, pack out and canoe through the "East Branch", a series of narrow lakes nestled in steep hills on either side of the river. Travel downstream through moving water through First and Expanse Lake to “The Forks." Canoe through the Kingfisher Swifts, Upper and Lower Athlone Rapids camping at the end of the rapids. Time for swimming, fishing and enjoying the river scenery. |
| Day 5 | Paddle out through numerous swifts and fast moving water of Cliff, Zigg Zag and Tofflemire Rapids |
