Mahikan Dog Sled Safari

Journey over frozen lakes and rivers and through the beautiful Saguenay forests and experience the Mahikan, a unique breed of dog which legend believes ‘fears nothing’.
Holiday idea
| Day 1 |
Upon arrival in Montreal you will be met and transferred to the your hotel for one night. A snow-suit, boots and gloves will be provided for the duration of your trip. |
| Day 2 |
Transfer to the station in time for your train to the Saguenay Region. On arrival you will be met by your guides who will go over the activities of the next few days. Two nights will be spent in a log cabin. |
| Day 3 |
The morning is spent learning how to drive the sleds and getting ready for departure. In the afternoon you will take the dogs on the beautiful Saguenay forest trails. |
| Days 4-6 |
Your days will be spent sledding the trails of the region and exploring the beautiful countryside. 3 nights will be spent in rustic camps. |
| Day 7 |
You will return to the log cabin for your final evening. |
| Day 8 |
Transfer to the station for the train to Montreal where there will be time for shopping or sightseeing before returning to the airport for your flight home. |

Price Includes: Return transfers from the airport as well as between activity sites, meet and greet at Montreal airpor and Saguenay train station, services of a certified musher-guide, 1 dog sled per person for 5 days, 'Extreme Cold' clothing; snow-suit, boots and gloves, expedition grade sleeping bag, spa and sauna access during nights at the log-made chalets, 7 nights accommodation, all meals and taxes.
Not Included: Return International flights, gratuities and items of a personal nature.
