Located over 3,000 km south of Santiago, Punta Arenas is a picturesque city which acts as a gateway to the southern regions of Torres del Paine and Puerto Natales.
Holiday idea
A two night whale watching adventure takes you from your hotel in Punta Arenas (one night at the beginning and end of your trip) to the Fitzroy Channel, crossing to Riesco Island and sailing by the Otway Sound to Carlos III Island. From December to April you can observe humpback whales, sea lions, condors and other sea birds. Two nights will be spent in a comfortable tented eco-camp listening to whales.
