Baja California, Mexico, is a ruggedly beautiful peninsula extending south from California for over 800 miles. The topography varies from the mountains that rise to 6,000 feet and tumble down to the Sea of Cortez forming isolated coves, to the low-lying west coast with its expansive sandy beaches, pounding Pacific surf and protected lagoons.

Paddling a sea kayak in these waters offers every chance of viewing dolphins, sea lions and fin and blue whales in their natural habitat. You should see blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, osprey and dozens of pelicans as well as discovering white sand beaches hidden in quiet coves. Activities include snorkelling, paddling between islands or along a remote shore and hiking up canyons and headlands for breathtaking views.

Preparing for Sea Kayaking on the Sea of Cortez

Itinerary

Day 1	Fly from UK to Los Angeles and stay overnight at the Holiday Inn Los Angeles Airport.
Day 2	Fly to Loreto where you will be met by your guide and transfer to your hotel. In the evening meet your fellow travellers and receive a full tour briefing.
Day 3	After breakfast you will be taken to the launch site and will learn the basics of kayaking and safety procedures before paddling to the campsite for the night.
Days 4-6	Mornings will be spent kayaking to a new campsite. After lunch there will be plenty of time to snorkel, hike, swim, fish or relax with a good book. In the evenings you will be feasting on delicious fresh food and perhaps enjoying margaritas as the sun sets.
Day 7	After lunch it will be time to transfer to your hotel in Loreto.
Day 8	Transfer to the airport for your flight to Los Angeles and your connecting flight to UK.
Day 9	Arrive in UK.

National Park Fee $15 per person, flights, meals not listed, gratuities and items of a personal nature. Please note a surcharge may apply if less than 6 passengers booked on the trip.
