Selenkay Conservancy
Situated in magical Kenya, just north of Amboseli over the northern boundary of Amboseli Park is the Selenkay Conservancy. Selenkay shares the same ecosystem as Amboseli and is established on lands leased from the local Maasai, with the aim of protecting the wildlife habitat and encouraging wildlife conservation.The conservancy is home to an array of wildlife such as elephant, gazelle, lion, giraffe cheetah, leopard, mongoose, porcupine, yellow baboon and bat-eared fox. It boasts a remote bush camp in the heart of Selenkay’s Maasailand which is the perfect spot from which to view the plentiful of wildlife. Visitors can enjoy close encounters with wildlife, day and night game drives, guided bush walks with experienced, knowledgeable Maasai guides and visiting a local Maasai village.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Resting at the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountain Range, in central Kenya's Laikipia County, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. It is also home to some of the last remaining northern white rhino in the world. Originally a working cattle ranch in colonial Kenya and now a pioneering wildlife conservancy, Ol Pejeta works to protect wildlife and provide a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees. The Conservancy is a popular safari destination and is home to the renowned ‘Big Five’ as well as a wide selection of other African animals including zebra, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, jackal, serval, hyena, vervet monkey, and many more. Visitors can look forward to an assortment of outdoor activities such as horse rides, Safari walks, and nocturnal game drives.
Meru National Park
Situated east of Meru, in beautiful Kenya, Meru National Park is one of the most popular parks in Kenya. Covering over 800 square kilometres, this park is wild and beautiful featuring diverse scenery with lush swamplands, thick jungle, vast savannah, and no less than thirteen rivers. Game to view includes some of the less regularly sighted animals like oryx, lesser kudu, duiker, dik-dik and over 300 species of birds have been recorded. It is here that Else the famous lion from the book and movie ‘Born Free’ lived out the latter part of her life and is buried. Visitors can soak up the spectacular views of Mount Kenya, spot game along the Tana River and view the cascading Adamson’s Falls.
Ol Kinyei Conservancy
As one of the sixteen conservancies that are part of the renowned Maasai Mara, the Ol Kinyei Conservancy is a pristine wilderness area characterised by open savannah plains, riverine forests, springs, rivers, and rolling hills. The conservancy is inhabited by a wide variety of animal species for which the Mara is famous including lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, and wild dog. The wildebeest migration also passes through Ol Kinyei when herds from the eastern plains of Loita join the migration to the Mara Reserve. An impressive array of bird species also inhabit the park, including grey crowned crane and some exciting endemic species. Visitors can look forward to morning, evening, and late-night game drives guided walks with expert local Maasai guides and drinking sundowners at a number of scenic points within the conservancy.
Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 | Selenkay Conservatory
Pick up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or city hotel and transfer to Wilson Airport in Nairobi for a scenic morning flight to Selenkay/Amboseli. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Porini Amboseli Camp, enjoying an exhilarating game drive en route. You will arrive in time for check-in and a delightful lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a guided walk to a nearby Maasai village, where you will gain valuable insights into the traditions and daily life of the local community living outside the Selenkay Conservancy. After your visit, return to the conservancy, renowned for its rich biodiversity. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe iconic wildlife, including big cats, elephants, and an array of other species such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. You may also encounter rarer animals such as the long-necked gerenuk gazelle, lesser kudu, and African wildcat.
As the day draws to a close, unwind with a sundowner at a picturesque location, offering breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The adventure continues with a thrilling night game drive, providing a unique opportunity to witness nocturnal wildlife activity.

Day 2 | Selenkay Conservatory
Awaken to the vibrant calls of local birdlife and begin your day with an early breakfast. Set out on a scenic drive along our private track through the bush into Amboseli National Park for a full morning of game viewing, where you will have the opportunity to observe the park’s renowned wildlife against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Midday, enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of the park before returning to camp in the late afternoon for a moment of relaxation.
In the evening, embark on an exciting game drive in the Selenkay Conservancy, pausing at a scenic viewpoint to savor a sundowner while taking in the stunning landscapes. The adventure continues with a thrilling night game drive, offering a unique opportunity to spot elusive nocturnal wildlife.
Conclude the day with a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at camp.
Day 3 | Selenkay Conservatory

Day 4 | Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After an early breakfast, depart on a scenic drive through the conservancy to the airstrip for your flight back to Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, connect to your scheduled flight to Nanyuki. At the airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, nestled within the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy at the foothills of Mount Kenya.
Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch followed by afternoon tea at the camp before setting out on an exhilarating game drive. Accompanied by your experienced driver-guide in a specially designed 4x4 safari vehicle, explore the diverse landscapes and exceptional wildlife of Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
After an unforgettable day of exploration, return to Porini Rhino Camp for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 | Ol Pejeta Conservancy

For those seeking an even deeper wildlife experience, optional activities are available at an additional cost. These include a visit to the Endangered Species Boma, where you can witness the world’s last two remaining Northern White Rhinos, as well as an exclusive Lion Tracking experience.

Day 6 | Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Enjoy a full day of exploration in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, with thrilling game drives and guided walking activities directly from the camp.
You may opt for optional conservancy-based activities at an extra cost.
After a day of unforgettable wildlife encounters, return to Porini Rhino Camp for a relaxing evening, followed by a delightful dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7 | Meru National Park
Begin your day with an early morning game drive, offering a chance to witness wildlife at its most active. Afterward, return to camp for a hearty breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Meru National Park. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your camp, enjoying an en-route game drive through the park’s diverse landscapes.
Upon reaching the camp, check in and indulge in a delicious lunch. Spend the early afternoon unwinding - whether by taking a refreshing swim, exploring the surroundings, or simply relaxing. Later, following afternoon tea, set out on an exhilarating game drive.
The vast open plains, adorned with acacias and ancient baobabs, provide a vital sanctuary for elephants seeking respite from the intense African sun. Meru National Park is renowned for its incredible biodiversity, boasting over 400 recorded bird species and a rich variety of wildlife. The park’s breathtaking scenery and abundant fauna make it a true hidden gem. It is also famously known as the home of Elsa the lioness, whose remarkable story was immortalized in Joy Adamson’s bestselling book Born Free and its award-winning film adaptation.
Day 8 | Meru National Park
Embark on a full day of adventure with an immersive game drive in Meru National Park. Begin your morning with an early departure, witnessing the awakening wilderness as nocturnal creatures retreat and the savanna is bathed in a soft, rosy glow. Spot hyraxes huddled together in the cool morning air and observe plains game celebrating the start of a new day after another night of survival.
As you traverse the park’s diverse landscapes - ranging from lush riverine forests to expansive open plains - you will have the opportunity to encounter a rich variety of wildlife. In addition to game drives, optional activities at the camp include guided bush walks and a visit to the nearby rhino sanctuary, offering a deeper connection to the park’s conservation efforts.
All meals will be provided throughout the day, ensuring a seamless and fulfilling experience. As the evening sets in, return to camp for a restful overnight stay, reflecting on the unforgettable moments of the day’s explorations.
Day 9 | Meru National Park
Enjoy another full day exploring Meru National with scheduled game drives and activities.
All meals and overnight at Rhino River Camp.
Day 10 | Ol Kinyei Conservancy
Begin your day with an early morning game drive, offering a chance to witness wildlife at its most active. Afterward, return to camp for a hearty breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to the Maasai Mara. During the off-season, flights will route via Nairobi.
Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Porini Mara Camp, where you will check in and enjoy a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, set out on an exhilarating game drive through the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, pausing at a scenic viewpoint to take in breathtaking views while savoring a sundowner. As night falls, embark on a thrilling night game drive, using spotlights to search for elusive nocturnal wildlife, including leopards that stealthily roam the conservancy.
After an unforgettable day of exploration and wildlife encounters, return to Porini Mara Camp for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Day 11 | Ol Kinyei Conservancy
Spend the day exploring the Conservancy at your own pace or embark on an exhilarating game drive in the iconic Masai Mara Reserve. If you choose to venture into the reserve, a picnic lunch will be provided, allowing you to maximize your time in the heart of this world-famous wildlife destination. You will return to camp in the late afternoon.
As evening approaches, relax with a sundowner in the Conservancy, taking in the stunning landscapes as the sun sets. The adventure continues with a thrilling night game drive, offering a rare opportunity to observe the park’s elusive nocturnal wildlife.
End the day with a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay at Porini Mara Camp.
Note: From July 1 to September 30, a one-day permit to witness the Great Migration in the Masai Mara Reserve is included in your package.
Day 12 | Ol Kinyei Conservancy
Enjoy a full day exploring Ol Kinyei and Naboisho conservancies with scheduled morning and afternoon game drives and activities. All meals and overnight at Porini Mara Camp.
Day 13 | Departure
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in the Conservancy, offering one last opportunity to witness the region’s incredible wildlife at dawn. Afterward, return to camp for a leisurely breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to either the international airport for your onward journey or a Nairobi hotel.
For those wishing to extend their adventure, additional nights can be arranged at any of the camps. Alternatively, consider continuing your journey with a flight to the Kenya Coast or the enchanting Spice Island of Zanzibar, where you can relax on the pristine white-sand beaches of the Indian Ocean.
