Overview

Madawaska Kanu Centre - Family created, owned and operated since 1972. Madawaska Kanu Centre is run by three generations of paddlers devoted to getting people on the river and improving skills in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. Whether a new paddler or ready to go pro – they welcome everyone to their riverside resort on the Madawaska.



Set in a tranquil forest location, close to the Madawaska River, this wilderness resort offers a relaxed, friendly and authentic experience.

You will be staying in a forest cabana on full board. The cabanas are nestled in the woods behind the centre and there is a toilet/shower block as well as refreshing outdoor showers. Meals are served in the dining room or outside on the terrace. 


Day by Day Itinerary


Day 1 |  Arrive at Madawaska Kanu Centre

Arrive at the Madawaska Kanu Centre and check in between 19:00 and 21:00.


After settling in, explore the property and enjoy a relaxing evening before tomorrow’s adventure.


Overnight in a cabin or in the lodge at Madawaska Kanu Centre.



Day 2 | Madawaska Kanu Centre

After a delicious buffet breakfast, meet your canoe instructors for an overview of your itinerary and get fitted with your canoeing equipment. Depart for the river launching point mid-morning, where you will receive a brief lesson on canoeing before heading out into the rapids!


Experience the thrill of the river with a day of mixed environments, slowly increasing in water speed from gentle flows to invigorating fast water! Lunch on site, and an afternoon on the water before travelling back to the Center for dinner.


In the evening, gather for a video recap of the day with your fellow adventurers.


Overnight in a cabin or in the lodge at Madawaska Kanu Centre.


Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks included.



Day 3 | Departure

A final buffet style breakfast at the centre, then back to the river for a morning of challenging yourself on rapids up to Class II!


After lunch, a final time on the water before returning to the Centre for a quick snack and check out.
