Overview

Argentina is a vast country with a diversity of climate and landscape, from the ice fields of Patagonia, to the Lake District and its stunning lakes and lush scenery, to the tropical forests around the frenzied and spectacular Iguazú Falls, which fascinate and inspire any visitor.


For a more urban adventure, cosmopolitan cities offer the chance to try to tango and eat some of the world's best steak. Argentina's distinct regions have climates all of their own. Buenos Aires is hot between November and April, and mild in winter. The Lake District in spring and autumn is fresher than in the height of summer. Part of Patagonia's beauty is its unpredictable weather, and you should be prepared to experience four seasons in one day.


Day by Day Itinerary


Day 1 | Buenos Aires

Arrive in Buenos Aires for a two night stay at the Claridge Hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore this amazing city or relax in the hotel.



Day 2 | Buenos Aires

A half-day tour of bustling Buenos Aires has been arranged for today. Known as the “Paris of the south”, Buenos Aires boasts renowned architecture, world-class cuisine, vibrant entertainment, world-class shopping, rich historical sites, and much more.

Day 3 | Salta  

Today you will fly to Salta, a city in the northwest established by the Conquistadores in 1582. The Hotel Solar de la Plaza will be your base for three nights.



Day 4 | Sola / Jujuy

A full day tour will take you north, through the dramatic scenery of the Humahuaca Gorge in the province of Jujuy. Picturesque villages, dating back to colonial times nestle beneath the multicoloured mountains. You will also visit the pre-Columbian fort at Tilcara built on a hill in the middle of the valley.

Day 5 |  Sola / Cafayate 

Journey south through the stunning rocky landscapes of the Calchaqui Valley and on to the historic town of Cafayate, famous for its fine wines. A visit to a local winery will be included.

Day 6 | Lake District

Fly to San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina’s Lake District. Bariloche, located two hours by plane from Buenos Aires, is an all-season destination with summer sports such as trekking, climbing, horse riding and mountain biking drawing visitors to the region as much as the winter ski season does. The Argentinian Lake District, which surrounds the town, is beautiful.


You will stay at Hotel Edelweiss for three nights.



Day 7 | Lake District

Tour the beautiful lakes, forests and snow-capped mountains of the area.

Day 8 | Lake District

A day at leisure or to enjoy optional full day tours across the lakes.

Day 9 | Buenos Aires

Return to Buenos Aires for two nights at the Claridge Hotel.
