Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 | Montreal to Juujjuaq / Tiercel Island
Departing from Montreal at 10:00 onboard Canadian North, your 2 hour flight arrives in Kuujjuaq where you are met by a representative from Ungava Polar Tours. Assisting with your transfer of luggage to the twin-otter plane, you depart on a short scenic flight to the habitat site on Tiercel Island.
After a welcome greeting upon landing, board a vehicle for a short drive to the dome accommodation camp where you get checked in and prepare for a week of adventure! After an orientation by the coordinator, take some time to relax before dinner and drinks by the fire.

Day 2 | Tiercel Island / Boat Tour and Wildlife Viewing
After breakfast, your first full day of adventure starts with an amazing boat tour around the Gyrfalcon Islands.
This unique experience is the perfect opportunity to view and photograph wildlife, such as polar bears, muskoxen, caribous, seals, birds and maybe even whales.

Day 3 | Tiercel Island / Hiking and Cultural Immersion
The day will start with a hike to explore the island with a deeply knowledgeable Inuk guide. Discover and learn about this ancient culture while visiting several different sites.
This unique, interactive experience is the perfect occasion to fully immerse yourself in the authentic sounds of the land and its people.

Day 4 | Tiercel Island / Fatbike Excursion
Today your Inuk guide takes you on a unique adventure around the island, this time on a wide-tired, all-terrain durable fatbike.
Using this efficient mode of transportation, the tour is able to reach every corner of the island for a truly comprehensive overview of the diverse and dramatic landscapes.

Day 5 | Tiercel Island / Boat Tour and Wildlife Viewing
Today you take to the water again with your guide and group for a second boating excursion around the islands.
This day on the waves provides a second chance to view the everchanging landscapes and perhaps spot some of the more elusive wildlife inhabitants.

Day 6 | Tiercel Island / Excursion and Boat Tour
A last day of adventure features an ATV tour on the island and a final boat excursion, allowing your guide to share his experiences and observations about this incredible region.
A farewell delicious gastronomic meal will be served, followed by drinks under the Northern Lights and next to a warm fire.

Day 7 | Day of Departure / Kuujjuaq / Tiercel Island to Montreal
After breakfast, a fond farewell to your hosts before boarding the twin-otter plane for a return back to Kuujjuaq, followed by a connecting flight landing in Montreal at approximately 17:30.
